Applying for a university place in 2023

Planning on going to university in September 2023? It is time to finalise your UCAS application as the application deadline for the majority of courses is by 6pm on Wednesday 25th of January 2023.

Things to remember:

• Consider your course choice. Universities sometimes offer slight variations of courses. What suits your ambitions, abilities, personality and needs better?

• You can apply to study different courses or variations of courses at different universities.

• How far from home are you willing to go?

• Are finances a major factor in your choice of location?

• Which universities have expertise in your chosen field?

• Your shortlist of universities - Consider including your ideal place to go and a backup should you not achieve your predicted grades. This could help you avoid going through the headache of clearing later in the year should you not hit your top grade.
